Steps to Ownership
The application process can seem overwhelming at first, but we'll help you through all the steps. Here is an overview of the process, with the major milestones outlined.
Start
Obtain and complete a pre-application.
(NOTE: Habitat is not currently accepting applications for home ownership.)
Milestone 1
If you pre-qualify, attend an information meeting and complete a full application.
Milestone 2
Complete steps to receive approval from Family Selection.
Milestone 3
Complete steps to receive Board approval.
Milestone 4
Complete steps to receive a Sponsor, including completion of 400 hours of sweat equity.
Milestone 5
Complete steps to participate in construction, including balance of sweat equity.
Finish
Take possession of your home.
